As children grow and mature physically...so does their mind. Which means, you should expect the academic needs of your child to fluctuate often and...you may also find that your child's abilities may be in different grade levels in different subjects.
This is why fluidity and flexibility in instruction matters...in other words...the home environment can pick up where the classroom leaves off...
Group learning, grade-levels and the classroom structure restrict what a child learns and when s/he learns it. It is inherent in its structure! But understand that a child's mind is no respecter of grade-levels and that it wants what it wants...WHEN it wants it! That's where parents can fill in the gap!

Supplementing the education of students enrolled in public and private schools has been the hallmark of the academic elite for eons!
Parents who understood the process have produced kids who have consistently scored at the top of standardized tests; made repeated appearance on honor rolls; enrolled in gifted programs; have acquired scholarships and have made the easy trek to the college and university of their choice!
But it all begins in the home...
From offering light yet dynamic preschool education to "after-schooling" for potential, it has always been about implementation and resources and that is where Gifted-Spirit partners with the parents!
Here are a few suggestions that parents very seldom consider when supplementing:
- Purchase a workbook at grade-level and one higher if your child is a fast learner.
- Supplement with a computer program at grade-level and allow your child to progress at his/her own tempo.
- Once your child has completed either the workbook at grade-level or computer program at grade-level...allow them to move on to the next grade level! Remember, the mind doesn't acknowledge grade-levels that is reserved only for school systems.
- Always INSPIRE during this process...never DEMAND! *
